Dr. Satish Sharma is retired as Assistant Conservator of Forests from Rajasthan Forest Services after serving the Government of Rajasthan for 30 years. He has done two PhD degrees on flora and fauna. He has published over 625 research articles and 12 books. He is a recipient of many prestigious awards like Akhil Bhartiya Vaniki Puruskaar, Dr. Salim Ali Wildlife National Fellowship and Indra Priyadarshini Vriksha Mitra Purushkar awarded by the Government of India. He is also two time recipient of Medini Puruskar given by Government of India.
