Dr. Sonal Jain is a Professor with over 22 years of academic experience. She is presently associated with the PG Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Gujarat. Prior to this, she served at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, and GLS Institute of Computer Technology, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Dr. Jain has several publications to her credit and has presented research papers at various national as well as international conferences. Dr. Jain has also co-authored many books, including Personal Computer Software (Wiley India), Simplifying C (Dreamtech Publications), and six other textbooks for the Gujarat State Education Board. She has been in charge of advising four PhD scholars, out of which two scholars have been awarded a doctoral degree. Dr. Jain is a Committee Member of IACSIT Singapore and a reviewer for various conferences and journals of international repute. She has been a visiting faculty at the J. Seyle University, Slovakia, and also visited the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, under the faculty exchange program of JK Lakshmipat University, India.
Dr. Jain is a recipient of project grants by the SEED Division of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India as a Co-Principal Investigator. She has also received the Australian Innovation Patent Grant, the Young Scientist Award for Initiatives Discoveries and Developments in the discipline of Information Retrieval by Venus International Foundation, Chennai, and the Vaigyanik Drashtikon Award at the 4th Rajasthan Science Congress. Her areas of interest for Research, Training, and Consultancy include AI, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing.
