Dr Ranjit Kaur is a Former Head & Assistant Professor in the Department of English, St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur. Presently she is contributing to various academic and administrative posts in her college, including Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell Coordinator, IQAC and NAAC Steering Committee, Minority Welfare Committee Coordinator, Publication Cell and appointed as Ranger Leader for Bharat Scouts and Guides.
She was awarded a Doctorate Degree supervised by Prof Joya Chakravarty from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, qualified SLET (Accredited by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi), Master’s Degree in three subjects - English, History, and Education, Bachelor of Education (Merit Holder), and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science & Application.
Her affluent teaching and administrative experience cover a period of 28 years at esteemed institutions, namely Subodh Jain Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jaipur, Tagore Girls College, Jaipur, Maharishi Arvind Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jaipur, Army Public School, Bikaner, Sophia High School, Bikaner and Aro-Pro Computers, Bikaner. She was also the Assistant Head Examiner for the Central Board of Secondary Education and an External Expert Member in the Area Advisory Committee of institutions of repute.
She has authored two books, Communication Techniques and Communicative English. She has to her credit several research papers published in various national and international journals and edited books. She has attended international and national conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, STTPs and symposiums and presented more than 50 papers. For her paper presentations, she has won the best paper presentation awards. She is part of the Editorial Board of different journals and magazines. Her research interest includes Prison Literature, Gender Studies, Women’s Literature, Postcolonial Literature, American Literature, Disability Studies, and Indian English Literature.
She has organised National & International Conferences, Webinars, Workshops, Certificate Courses and training sessions. She has been the resource person, invited as the keynote speaker & trainer, delivered expert lectures, and chaired sessions in conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, STTPs and symposiums. She is also the visiting and training faculty for Govt. institutions and for CSR activities. At the same time, she has also been invited as the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and as a judge for national debate competitions, cultural programs, and other academic and social events.
